What
is Hidden and Dangerous 2 all about?
Hidden and Dangerous 2 is
a 3D tactical game, set in the times of the World
War 2. It is the sequel to a very successful hit
of 1999 – Hidden and Dangerous, that has made its
way into the history of computer games development.
The
player finds himself in the role of second lieutenant,
Gary Bristol, who joins SOE. This organization is
responsible for preparation of special operations
of the British Army. The story is very dramatic,
and as it unfolds, Gary and his men become tough
and experienced veterans. The higher Gary’s star
rises, the more the enemies focus their attention
on him. The game is filled with fierce battles and
chases, but there are also numerous secret missions
- during which not a single shot may be fired. The
player has at his disposal a wide range of arsenal
that consists of weapons and vehicles of all kinds.

A
specific release date has not yet been set, but
we estimate that the release will be late 2001/early
2002.
Will
there be a mission editor with Hidden and Dangerous
2?
No
decision has been made on the availability of an
editor for H&D2, however editing tools may be
released once the game is out.
Will
addons be released for H&D2 similar to Devils
bridge/Fight for Freedom (addons for H&D1).
Yes
it is very likley that H&D2 will be followed
by addon or mission packs.
What
multiplayer features will H&D2 feature?

It
is thought that H&D2 will support 10 different
multiplayer modes including:
Deathmatch
Team Deathmatch
CTF
Cooperative
Play as Axis
And many more, it will probably support up to 30
players over a LAN and Internet.
What
locations will Hidden and Dangerous2 feature?

Germany, Africa, Burma, Normandy, Czech Borders
and Norway.
Will
a demo be released prior to game release?
Yes
we are expecting more than one demo to be released
before the game is released. The first one is expected
at the end of the year.

What
gun view positions will there be in H&D2?

what we know you will have the choice of either
barrel view (H&D1) or hip view (H&D1 DB/FFF).
How
many missions will there be in total?
There
will be 23 missions set over 9 campaigns.
What
size will the levels be in H&D2?

The
levels will be roughly the same size as the H&D1
levels.
Can
we play as German Soldiers?
Yes
but only in head to head multiplayer.
Will
the missions be generally more difficult than in
H&D1?
When
we created missions in H&D 2 we try to copy
the learning curve so the first missions in HD2
are simpler than in HD1 and last missions are tougher.
How
realistic will the weapon's characteristics be?
We
have ballistic model calculated from real weapons
characteristics, probability of jamming and penetrability
of materials, calculated magazines.
Will
a shot to the leg slow a soldier down and make his
reactions slower, etc?
Yes
Will
you be able to peek around corners? Top

How
rmuch blood and gore will be in the game?
A
realistic amount but not too sadistic.
Will
H&D2 run on a dedicated server?
Plans
are being made for thrid party server support
